Job description

These individuals maintain and repair small engines and equipment. They work in workshops or service companies.

Environment

Main tasks

  • Take note of the requests and discuss the work to be done with superiors.
  • Check and test mechanical components (e.g. motors) to locate malfunctions.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts or system components.
  • Check and adjust the operation of repaired equipment.
  • Carry out periodic maintenance service.
  • Discuss with customers the work performed and the general condition of the equipment.
  • Determine repair costs.
