Job description

These individuals carry loads on docks. They load and unload them in the holds of ships.

Environment

  • Climatic conditions

Main tasks

  • Drive mobile equipment (forklifts, tractors, etc.).
  • Load or unload containers, materials (coal, ore, etc.), goods, etc.
  • Transfer liquids to the tanks of ships.
  • Fix cargo on board ships.
  • Open and close hatches (loading openings).
  • Clean ship holds.
