Job description

These individuals perform landscaping work on private, public, or commercial properties. They create aesthetic and functional outdoor spaces from plans. They maintain existing landscaped spaces.

Main tasks

  • Follow plans to carry out the required work.
  • Spread soil, lay sod, and plant vegetation (flowers, shrubs, trees).
  • Install various structures and lighting systems.
  • Lay paving stone.
  • Mow, rake, fertilize, and water lawns.
  • Weed gardens.
  • Trim shrubs and trees.
  • Operate and maintain grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Maintain lawns and roadside turf.
  • Clean and maintain the landscaped environment.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience or additional training lead to senior or supervisory positions.

Most training programs are offered in French only.
