If you, or your intended spouse, do not meet the conditions for a civil union, any person may oppose the solemnization of your civil union.
This means that the person may, after seeing your civil union notice, ask the court to prohibit its solemnization.
Any interested person may oppose the solemnization of your civil union, including your child, without assistance from an adult.
A person who wishes to oppose the solemnization of a civil union must file an opposition at the office of the Superior Court.
However, at least 5 days before filing the opposition with the court, the person must notify you by registered mail, as well as the officiant.
The filing of the opposition may lead to a postponement of the ceremony.
The opposition will not be admitted if it is abusive.
