Rights

You and your de facto spouse both have rights, and under some laws you are considered as a couple.

Obligations

You have no obligations toward your de facto spouse, however long you have been together, unless you have signed a cohabitation agreement. However, you have obligations toward your children.

Protections

Know the protections conferred by a de facto union in the event of a separation or death.
