Medical information

If warranted by your child’s health condition, his or her physician can obtain medical information about the child’s biological parents or another member of the family of origin. Your child's medical information can also be disclosed to the physician of a member of the child's family of origin, if required by that person's state of health.

To have access to medical information, the physician must obtain the consent of the person concerned. If consent is not given, an application to obtain the information may be filed with the court.

Anonymity is preserved at all times, and only the required medical information is disclosed.
