Québec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) Benefits in the Event of a Death or a Termination of Pregnancy

Find out about the benefits you could receive in the event of a termination of pregnancy, the death of a child or the death of a parent.

Termination of pregnancy

You could receive benefits if a termination of pregnancy occurs after 19 full weeks of pregnancy.

Death of a Child After Birth

You could receive benefits if a child dies after birth.

Death of a parent

The surviving parent could receive the benefits of the deceased parent that had not yet been paid.
