Teachers from Tunisia

The evaluation of applications for a teaching licence is performed exclusively by the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ). It is based on the analysis of all of the documents provided by candidates as proof of teacher education received in Tunisia and that enabled them to teach there legally (diplomas, transcripts, etc.).

Here is a list of diplomas and documents that may be considered:

• Diplôme national de licence en éducation de l’enfant, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification for the premier cycle de base ou de l’enseignement
• Diplôme national de licence en éducation et en enseignement, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification for the premier cycle de base ou de l’enseignement
• Diplôme national de licence en éducation in a subject taught in Québec, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification for the premier cycle de base ou de l’enseignement at the elementary level
• Diplôme de maîtrise in a subject taught in Québec or in éducation de l’enfant, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification for the premier cycle de base ou de l’enseignement at the elementary level
• Diplôme national de licence or maîtrise in a subject taught in Québec, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification at the grade de professeur de l’enseignement secondaire
• Diplôme national de licence or maîtrise en éducation physique, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification at the grade de professeur de l’éducation physique dans les écoles primaires
• Diplôme de l’École normale supérieure d’éducation physique et sportive, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification at the grade de professeur de l’enseignement de l’éducation physique et sportive
• Diplôme de maîtrise or diplôme national en arts et métiers, accompanied by a document confirming teacher certification at the grade de professeur de l’enseignement secondaire artistique
