How to get COVID-19 rapid screening tests

Get rapid tests free of charge

In local points of service

Rapid tests are offered at all local points of service.

In pharmacies

Rapid tests are available in most pharmacies This hyperlink will open in a new window.. These tests are reserved for:

  • persons who are being considered for treatment with COVID-19 (e.g. PaxlovidTM)
  • People who receive free medication under the public drug plan (recipients of last-resort financial assistance and people aged 65 and over with low income)
  • Youths aged 14 to 17;
  • full-time students aged 18 to 25.

In schools

Preschool, elementary, and high school students are provided testing kits so parents can test them and other family members at home. Tests are also provided to students at vocational training and adult education centres.

In educational childcare services

Educational childcare services provide the families with test kits so that the parent can do the screening test with his or her child and the rest of the family at home.

Companies

Employers (private companies and community organizations) can obtain COVID-19 rapid tests free of charge for their staff located in Quebec.

Companies wishing to obtain tests can request them by email at commandetestsrapides@msss.gouv.qc.ca.
