The protection mandate is being revamped! The Curateur public is launching a new online version of the brochure that contains revised content related to the upcoming law intended to better protect vulnerable persons, not to mention an improved design.
This new version of the protection mandate 
is now available online.
If the protection mandate is filled out and signed in front of witnesses before the law enters into force on November 1, 2022, it is not necessary to fill out the clauses on the inventory and rendering of accounts. However, since they provide an additional layer of protection, it is still recommended to do so.
As of November 1, production of an inventory and rendering of accounts will become mandatory. Therefore, the mandator, i.e., the person preparing their protection mandate, will have to determine to whom the mandatary to the property will send the rendering of accounts and at what frequency. The mandatary will also have to produce an inventory of the property.
Remember that Les Publications du Québec will not begin selling the new paper version until after the act enters into force in November 2022.
