While most people will gradually adapt to the situation, here are some indicators that it may be necessary to ask for help from a health and social services professional:
when your reactions remain intense and prevent you from meeting your basic needs (eating, sleeping);
when you have difficulty functioning normally in your daily, family and professional activities;
When you’re unable to recover, and you feel overwhelmed and unable to get back to your normal routine.
when you or your loved ones are worried about your emotional reactions (suicidal thoughts, particular behaviours, use of alcohol, drugs or medication);
