As of December 31, 2021, a certificate has been required to guide off-road vehicle (ORV) excursions for business, tourist and recreational, and other activities.
Aventure Écotourisme Québec is the association dealing with the certification process. The certificate is valid for three years and renewable for a further three-year period.

The Act improves public safety and promotes harmonious coexistence between recreational use of off-highway vehicles and other uses of the territory.
