Benefits of speaking French

Learning French makes your daily life easier! There are many advantages to learning French when settling in Québec:

  • Pass a job interview;
  • Move around your city or between regions;
  • Help your children with their homework;
  • Explain the symptoms of an illness with a doctor or pharmacist;
  • Talk to a landlord about renting accommodation or buying a house;
  • Socialize with a neighbour.

While living in Québec, you will use French every day. Speaking French will facilitate your integration and your participation in Québec society.

The first time I went to the doctor, I was unable to explain my symptoms. I decided to learn French and that changed everything. If I can do it, so can you.

Rania, arrived from Egypt in 2015
