Moment to raise awareness in all schools across Québec

Video from the Ministère de l’Éducation and guided in-class discussion

The province-wide moment of reflection began with the viewing of a video that enabled students in Elementary Cycles Two and Three and in secondary school, as well as school staff, to collectively reflect on the importance of respectful relationships and civility in everyday school life.

A guided discussion on the topic then took place in Elementary Cycles Two and Three and secondary school classrooms.

Preschoolers and Elementary Cycle One students were also able to take part in this moment of reflection, using a simplified activity that involved watching a pre-recorded video of the Minister and having a discussion adapted to their level.

Consult the Suggested questions for teachers to lead the guided discussion (PDF 230 Kb) document for more information.

Adult general education centres, vocational training centres and private educational institutions were also invited to participate in this moment of reflection and to consult the tools made available to them.
