If you are unemployed and aged 50 or older, the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (ICTE) program can help you in your work reintegration.
The program will also help you use your personal and professional skills in your new job. It is offered by employability services organizations.

Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be aged 50 or older, and meet one of the following criteria:
You are receiving or are eligible for employment insurance benefits.
You are receiving last-resort financial assistance benefits (social assistance or social solidarity).
You are unemployed and are not receiving public income support.

Help with writing a résumé
Interview techniques
Networking
Use of technological tools
Evaluation of your personal and professional experience
Help with improving your basic skills
Development of specific skills
Work experience or participation in an internship or job shadowing
Support to promote job retention
Financial assistance
Under certain conditions, you could receive financial assistance that varies depending on your situation. You could also be reimbursed for some of your costs, such as daycare or transportation costs, to support you in your job search.
