Job description

These individuals provide statistical and research support services. They produce documents that meet the information needs of a business or organization. This group includes supervisors.

Main tasks

  • Collect, process, consolidate, cross-reference, and format data from various resources.
  • Perform basic trend analysis.
  • Compile tables, graphs, and statistics.
  • Prepare report outlines.
  • Assist in collecting and tracking data from the controlled use of services.
  • Provide information to supervisors and clients.
  • Prepare technical documents and monitoring reports.
  • Supervise statistical and research support staff, as required.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience leads to supervisory positions.
  • A graduate degree is usually required for entry into professional positions in statistics and research.
