Job description

These individuals calculate, prepare, and process invoices, accounts, and budgets. They also maintain other financial records according to established procedures. They work for private companies and organizations in the public or parapublic sectors.

Main tasks

  • Calculate data as well as prepare and distribute documents associated with the accounts.
  • Code, total, batch, record, verify, and reconcile transactions.
  • Compile budget data and documents.
  • Prepare statements, cost reports, or periodicals.
  • Calculate material costs, overhead, and other expenses.
  • Respond to requests for information, maintain good relations with customers, and solve problems.
  • Perform word processing, record keeping, and filing.
  • Send and photocopy documents.

  • Experience and additional training allow access to supervisory or specialized financial positions.
