Job description
These individuals create, edit, and produce various types of 2D and 3D animations. They draw and model characters, images, and backgrounds. They use specialized 3D animation and image synthesis software to create digital visual and special effects. They test animations, identify technical problems, and make corrections, when required. They work for:
- Post-production companies
- Video game design and multimedia companies
- Software development companies
- Film, television, and computer animation studios
- Special effects companies
- Industrial design firms

Main tasks
- Produce presentation sketches.
- Collaborate with the design team to create previews.
- Create video game animations.
- Prepare a paper or digital document, used in film and TV, to plan the needs of all the shots that will make up the film (storyboard).
- Produce images presenting scientific or architectural concepts.
- Produce 3D animated films.
Level of university training:
- Manage and produce 3D creative projects and coordinate every step, from design to distribution.
- Manage the resources necessary for the project (financial, human, material).
- Liaise between partners and clients to ensure the projects meet their needs.
Advancement and mobility
- Experience leads to supervisory positions.

Formation
Bachelor’s degree or diploma of college studies

- Portfolio illustrating creative skills and talent.
