Job description

These individuals assemble, adjust, and install prefabricated aircraft parts such as engines, landing gear, and aircraft fuselages. They make sure that the assemblies are carried out according to the plans and technical specifications. They work for aircraft manufacturers and maintenance organizations.

Main tasks

Aircraft Assemblers

  • Consult and interpret aircraft assembly diagrams.
  • Assemble, adjust, and install prefabricated parts or components (coatings, flight controls, etc.).
  • Verify the quality of parts and the quality of work.

Aircraft Assembly Inspectors

  • Verify that aircraft assembly conforms to technical specifications.
  • Ensure the quality of work carried out by Assemblers.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience leads to supervisory positions.
