Job description

These individuals design and produce Internet and Intranet sites. They are self-employed or work in:

  • Software development companies
  • IT consulting firms
  • Advertising, communication, marketing, and web development agencies
  • Private and public sector IT services

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks

  • Develop the site’s architecture and determine the software and hardware required.
  • Collect and organize the information to be included in the site.
  • Design the site’s appearance and data flow.
  • Create and experiment with the site’s computer code.
  • Prepare models.
  • Carry out quality and safety checks.
  • Direct and coordinate, if necessary, the development of the graphic models and the site content.
  • Investigate and assess, as required, interactive media software.
  • Implement solutions to ensure website visibility.
