Main tasks
Database Analysts
- Identify and document user needs.
- Design and develop database architecture and management systems.
- Advise IT professionals on the application and implementation of database management tools.
- Perform data mining analysis.
- Directing, coordinating or supervising staff, as required.
Data Administrators
- Develop and implement data management policies, standards and models.
- Document requirements and develop policies regarding data collection and administration, access rules, data backup, and recovery.
- Specify the users and their access levels for each database segment.
- Advise information systems professionals on data collection, availability, and security.
- Draft documents related to procedures.
- Lead and coordinate, as required, teams of data administrators.
