Job description
These individuals manage the activities of a company’s sales department. They generally supervise the sales staff. They are employed in commercial, industrial, wholesale, and retail sales establishments.

Main tasks
- Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of a company’s sales department.
- Organize regional sales operations.
- Establish sales policies and procedures.
- Decide on the strategic planning to be put in place for new product lines.
- Lead sales teams in the development of business relationships with corporate clients.
- Manage sales contract negotiations.
- Recruit, coordinate, train, and manage staff.
- Work with the marketing department, as required, to understand and communicate messages.
