Job description
These individuals set up and operate machines that process and package fish and seafood products. They cut, empty, and clean them. They are employed in fish and seafood processing plants.

Main tasks
Fish and Seafood Processing and Packaging Machine Operators
- Set up and operate machines that process fish and seafood products.
- Check products and packaging for irregularities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards.
- Make the necessary adjustments to machines.
- Record production information.
Fish and Seafood Cleaners and Cutters
- Cut, clean, and trim (remove skin, bones, head, etc.) fish and seafood before sale or packaging.
- Scale the fish, cut it, gut it, and separate the fillets.
- Cut pieces according to specifications and weigh them.
- Shell lobsters and other crustaceans and remove flesh for canning (or other processing).
