Teachers from Egypt

The evaluation of applications for a teaching licence is performed exclusively by the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ). It is based on the analysis of all of the documents provided by candidates as proof of teacher education received in Egypt and that enabled them to teach there legally (diplomas, transcripts, etc.).

It does not replace, in any way whatsoever, the decision of the MEQ with regard to applications for a teaching licence.

Here is a list of diplomas and documents that may be considered:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Education;
• Bachelor of Arts and Education;
• Bachelor of Science and Education;
• Document confirming teacher certification (agrégation, arrêté, décision, etc.), accompanied by a diplôme de Bachelor or licence in a subject taught in Québec related to the subject for which the teacher certification document was issued;
• General Certificate Diploma in Pedagogy, accompanied by a diplôme de Bachelor in a subject taught in Québec;
• Licence ès arts et éducation;
• Licence ès lettres et éducation;
• Licence ès lettres et pédagogie, accompanied by a magistère en éducation;
• Licence ès science et éducation.
