Non-legally qualified teachers

Non-legally qualified teachers are encouraged to undertake teacher training in order to develop the professional skills essential to the profession. There are flexible programs that make it easier to balance your studies with a teaching job.

Measures to support and guide the obtaining of a teaching diploma for non-legally qualified teachers who are already employed

If you are employed as a teacher and have been granted a letter of tolerance or hold a provisional teaching licence, you may be eligible for financial assistance to undertake teacher training. As this financial assistance is provided through a school service centre, a school board or an accredited private institution, you should contact your employer if you have any questions on this matter.
