A liquidator who is not an heir is entitled to receive remuneration, the amount of which is set by the heirs if not provided for in the will.

A liquidator who is an heir is not automatically entitled to remuneration, although the will may provide for an amount to be paid or, if all the heirs agree, they may decide to offer remuneration.
