The Stations de nettoyage d'embarcations 2023–2028 program contributes to the fight against aquatic invasive species (AIS) and pathogenic organisms of aquatic fauna. It encourages the installation or refurbishment of boat cleaning stations.
Financing
For for-profit organizations, the maximum grant amount is 50% of the total value of eligible expenses, up to $30,000 per project.
For the other eligible organizations, the amount of financial assistance cannot exceed 80% of total eligible expenses, with a maximum of $30,000 per project.
Eligibility requirements
Only projects to refurbish or install a fixed, mobile or hybrid boat cleaning station are eligible for the program.
Applications must be received by the Minister by March 1, 2027. Work must be completed one year after the start date indicated in the application and no later than January 31, 2028 if the application is submitted on February 1, 2027 or after that date.
The following organizations are eligible for the program:
- Local municipalities or regional county municipalities;
- Non-profit organizations registered with the Registraire des entreprises (REQ) whose objectives are related to the conservation, development or use of wildlife, or to recreational boating activities (e.g., watershed organizations, community wildlife areas, wildlife reserves [excluding Sépaq], organizations managing controlled harvesting zones [ZECs], lake and watercourse protection associations);
- Private companies and for-profit organizations with an establishment in Québec whose objectives are related to the conservation, development or use of wildlife, or to recreational boating activities. These companies and organizations must be registered with the Registraire des entreprises (REQ);
- An Indigenous nation represented by all the band councils of the communities making up that nation, an Indigenous community represented by its band council or by the council of a northern village, a group of communities so represented or any other Indigenous group.

Submit an application for financial assistance
To submit a project, you must:
- complete the expression of interest form - Stations de nettoyage d'embarcations Program 2023–2028 (in French only) before July 31, 2027 at noon;
- complete the electronic application for financial assistance form, as well as the requested documents that will be emailed to you once the expression of interest form has been completed and submitted.
Completing the final project report
Organizations receiving financial assistance must submit a final project report, the template for which will be sent by the Ministère when the time comes. To obtain help with submitting an application, you can write to stationsEAE@environnement.gouv.qc.ca.
