Conditions for admission to part-time French courses for immigrants

Part-time French courses for immigrants are for you provided you meet all these conditions:

  • Your place of birth is outside of Canada;
  • You are 16 or older;
  • You live in Québec.

If you are working or studying temporarily in Québec, you can apply for admission to full-time or part-time French courses offered by the Québec government and receive financial assistance under certain conditions. Make sure you meet the conditions related to your status. If you do not meet these conditions, you may:

  • Lose your status;
  • Be refused entry into Québec or elsewhere in Canada
     

If you are an international student, you may register for full-time French courses provided it is a prerequisite for the program of study for which you have obtained the following two documents This program of study must be your primary occupation. You can then apply for admission to French courses offered by the Québec government.
