Job description
These individuals work in greenhouses used for market gardening or the production of ornamental plants. They take care of the crops and advise customers.

Main tasks
- Prepare the soil, plant bulbs, seeds, and cuttings, then graft and bud plants.
- Transplant flower, tree, and shrub seedlings and rooted cuttings.
- Spray the plants to protect them from diseases and insects.
- Position and adjust irrigation systems outside and in greenhouses.
- Dig up, cut, and transplant plants and prepare them for sale.
- Educate customers on gardening techniques and lawn and plant care.
- Clean work areas, maintain inventory, and order supplies as required.
