Job description
These individuals provide statistical and research support services. They produce documents that meet the information needs of a business or organization. This group includes supervisors.
Main tasks
- Collect, process, consolidate, cross-reference, and format data from various resources.
- Perform basic trend analysis.
- Compile tables, graphs, and statistics.
- Prepare report outlines.
- Assist in collecting and tracking data from the controlled use of services.
- Provide information to supervisors and clients.
- Prepare technical documents and monitoring reports.
- Supervise statistical and research support staff, as required.
Advancement and mobility
- Experience leads to supervisory positions.
- A graduate degree is usually required for entry into professional positions in statistics and research.
