Survey Interviewers contact people to gather information. This information is used for:
- Market research
- Opinion polls
- Electoral census
- Population census
Statistical Clerks code and compile data to draft documents. This group includes clerks who observe and record information about road traffic.
Main tasks
Survey Interviewers
- Communicate with individuals and explain the purpose of the interview.
- Ask questions along the lines of questionnaires and surveys.
- Record responses according to the standards established in the survey.
Statistics Clerks
- Ensure that the information collected is complete and accurate.
- Code information according to established coding manuals and enter data into computers.
- Perform routine statistical analysis.
- Compile data collected from various sources (e.g. interviews) to draft reports and lists.
