Payroll Clerks
Job description
These individuals collect, verify, and process payroll information. They determine the compensation and benefits to be paid to staff. They are employed by payroll administration companies and organizations in the private and public sectors.
Environment

Main tasks
- Maintain records of staff attendance, leave, and overtime.
- Prepare and verify staff pay statements and T4s.
- Prepare staff and benefit payments.
- Complete, verify, and process documents required for the administration of benefits.
- Inform staff.
- Compile statistical reports and other documents related to compensation and benefits.
- Prepare and verify end-of-period reports.
- Reconcile payroll records with bank statements.
