Fire Protection Technicians
Job description
These individuals carry out training and fire prevention activities for the public. They conduct technical and detailed inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They identify fire risks and hazards. They check fire protection systems to ensure they comply with safety standards in effect. They collaborate in the development of emergency and evacuation procedures. They work for:

Main tasks
- Read and interpret plans and specifications pertaining to fire protection installations and occupant safety.
- Neutralize, activate, and reactivate sprinkler systems for maintenance work.

- Draft opinions, inspection reports, and statements of offence.
- Enforce fire prevention rules.
- Handle complaints and requests for assistance.
