Job description

These individuals take part in planning, developing, and coordinating nutrition programs and food services. They ensure the quality control of food, under the supervision of a Nutritionist or Agronomist. They lead activities to raise awareness about proper nutrition and help implement nutrition education programs. They mainly work in health facilities and in the food industry.

Main tasks

  • Work with a Dietitian to plan menus, food regimens, and diets.
  • Help check the chemical, physical, biochemical, and microbiological properties of food.
  • Inform and educate the public about food.
  • Help test, develop, market, and promote some food products.
  • Collaborate in research on food, nutrition, and food service systems.
  • Help supervise employees who prepare and serve food.
