Job description
These individuals manage the information contained in the archives produced by organizations. They acquire, preserve, and review various types of records.

Main tasks
- Develop policies and procedures for the management, classification, and retrieval of archives.
- Develop programs for the preservation and dissemination of archives in all media (photographs, maps, manuscripts, etc.).
- Plan the computerized management of the archives.
- Determine the origin and value of the archives.
- Acquire archives to build and develop a collection of holdings for research.
- Establish the authenticity of documents and records.
- Assist researchers in their work.
