Job description
These individuals recommend and sell insurance policies to clients of insurance companies. They collect information to determine needs and budget. They advise clients about the various types of coverage offered. They provide information about the benefits, advantages, premiums, and other clauses of the contract. They determine the premiums to be paid and the terms of payment. They fill out the contract and forms required to issue the insurance policy. They work for life and health and general insurance companies.

Main tasks
- Ensure compliance with the insurance policy (appropriate forms, medical examinations, etc.).
- Set up insurance coverage.
- Follow up on client files.
- Renew insurance policies for existing customers.
- Prepare maturity notices.

- Successful completion of courses offered by the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors leads to various levels of professional qualification.
