Main tasks
- Greet customers, describe the menu, and make suggestions.
- Recommend wines to match the food ordered.
- Answer questions about food and beverages.
- Take orders and pass them on to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve the food and beverages ordered.
- Prepare and serve the house specialties.
- Maintain an inventory of wines and wine glasses and order as needed.
- Perform sensory evaluation of wines.
- Present the bill to customers and collect the amounts due.
- Participate in setting up and closing down the establishment.
