Job description

These individuals assist the cook in preparing meals. They carry out simple tasks to accelerate meal preparation. They weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients. They wash and peel fruits and vegetables. They clean cooking utensils and workstations. They work in:

Restaurants Cafés Hotels Fast food counters Cafeterias Hospital centres

Main tasks

  • Carry out basic preparations for certain dishes.

  • Receive and store kitchen products.
  • Take out the garbage and clean the garbage cans in the kitchen.
