Job description

These individuals install, rearrange, and repair digital transmission cables (fibre optics, cable television wires, etc.). They help to set up internal networks. They work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, or on construction sites.

Main tasks

  • Install cable trays and number cables.
  • Analyze wiring network needs and plan operations.
  • Prepare the necessary equipment and documents.
  • Verify requests with clients and note changes, as required.
  • Install, manage, and maintain internal, underground, and overhead structured wiring systems.
  • Test network reliability and performance.
  • Identify and repair existing problem installations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a service vehicle.
