Job description

These individuals install or repair power lines and transformers. They are employed by companies specializing in line installation or by public utility companies.

Main tasks

  • Erect structures required for cable installation.
  • Insulate conductors and related wires.
  • Maintain and operate a service vehicle as required.

  • Install components (conductors, supports) on the overhead and underground electrical network.
  • Read plans and technical manuals.
