Recreational Vehicle Technicians
Job description
These individuals repair and maintain recreational vehicles (snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, etc.). They customize them according to customer requests. They work for:
- Dealers
- Commercial repair and maintenance companies
- Recreational vehicle retailers

Main tasks
- Meet with clients to assess needs and requests.
- Go to the site of breakdowns, as required.
- Locate damage or wear and tear on vehicles and their parts.
- Diagnose and repair breakage.
- Choose replacement parts in case of breakage.
- Assemble vehicles and systems (engines, transmissions, etc.).
- Exchange information with other Technicians.
- Consult various references (manuals, databases, electronic documentation, etc.).
Advancement and mobility
- Qualified Recreational Vehicle Technicians obtain a Red Seal endorsement upon successful completion of the Interprovincial Standards Examination.
