Main tasks
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers who maintain grounds and other landscaped areas.
- Bid on landscaping and grounds maintenance contracts.
- Organize the planting and maintenance of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs, and hedges.
- Construct and install fences, decks, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Establish work methods to meet deadlines and coordinate work with other sections.
- Order materials and supplies.
- Resolve work-related problems and recommend measures to increase productivity.
- Manage and train staff.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Draft reports
