When do you want to get married? Depending on the place you have chosen, there may be some time restrictions.

Marriage at the courthouse
If you and your intended spouse plan to marry at a courthouse, the time of the ceremony may vary depending on the judicial district concerned. You should contact the courthouse to determine the days and times when a marriage ceremony can take place.
Please note that your marriage solemnized by a clerk or deputy clerk of the Superior Court or in a courthouse may not be solemnized on the following days:
Sundays;
1 and 2 January;
Good Friday;
Easter Monday;
24 June, the National Holiday;
1 July, the anniversary of Confederation;
the first Monday of September, Labour Day;
the second Monday of October;
24, 25, 26 and 31 December;
the day fixed by proclamation of the Governor General for the celebration of the birthday of the Sovereign; or
any other day fixed by order of the Government as a public holiday or as a day of thanksgiving.
During your interview, the officiant will confirm the date and time of the ceremony.
Mariage at another place
If you marry at another venue, the marriage must take place between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. on the day you choose.
However, if the celebrant is a court clerk or deputy clerk, the time restrictions are the same as at a courthouse.
The officiant will settle the date and time of the marriage with you.
Language of the ceremony
The officiant must perform the ceremony in French or English.
You and your intended spouse may each choose to respond in either French or English. If one of you does not understand either language, the officiant will ask you to ensure that an interpreter is present.
