Terminating services and adjusting benefits
The liquidator or close family or friends must adjust the benefits the deceased was receiving and terminate the services they were using, such as cancelling permits and licences.

You need to research whether or not the deceased left a will.
Planning time off
In the event of the death of a close relative or friend, you can take time off work. During your absence, your employment relationship is protected.
Notify a landlord
If the deceased was a tenant (a lessee), you must notify the landlord (the lessor).
Buying funeral arrangements
If your deceased close relative or friend did not purchase funeral arrangements prior to their death, you must make arrangements through a licensed vendor.

Return unused or expired medication
It is important to properly dispose of unused or expired medications belonging to the deceased person.
