Child Support Payments Calculation Tool has been designed to help you estimate the amount you should pay or receive for your children, depending on your situation. This interactive form is simple and free of charge, and can be completed quickly. Simply enter the required information, and the calculations are performed automatically.
The results page can be printed and will be useful to you when you discuss support payments with your former spouse, legal counsel or family mediator. If necessary, you can produce different scenarios, based on your income, the type of custody arrangement or the number of dependent children, for example. This may be helpful as you begin preparing your child support application.
The Ministère reminds you that the Child support determination form (PDF 180 Kb) must still be completed if you wish to file a child support application with the court; Child Support Payments Calculation Tool cannot be used instead. The Québec model for the determination of child support payments (PDF 8.33 Mb) will assist you throughout the process.
