Signing Up for Direct Deposit as the Recipient of a Social Assistance Program

Direct deposit allows you to receive the amounts you are entitled to directly in your bank account.

When you sign up for direct deposit, you will

• receive the amounts you are entitled to on set dates
• have immediate access to the deposited funds
• avoid delays related to holidays, late mail or lost cheques
• save time by avoiding trips to the bank

By mail or in person

You can go to a Services Québec office to complete the following form: 

You can also print it, fill it out and mail it or bring it to a Services Québec office. You can attach any other document that provides the following information:

• Name of the financial institution
• Branch number
• Account number

You can apply for direct deposit online in one of the following ways:

• By using the direct deposit application in My Account – Employment Assistance – Social Assistance.
• By completing the Direct Deposit Application Form (SR-2301-01A) (PDF 376 Kb) and submitting it in My Account – Employment Assistance – Social Assistance;
• By submitting any other document that provides the following information:
  • Name of the financial institution
  • Branch number
  • Account number
