Frameworks for the evaluation of learning for the Work-Oriented Training Path
The frameworks for the evaluation of learning are made available to teachers to assist them in the process of evaluating the competencies targeted by the two training options in the Work Oriented Training Path (WOTP): Prework Training (PT) and Training for a Semiskilled Trade (TST).
Exemptions
In PT, the exemption applies to:
- the expression of results as percentages, in accordance with section 30.2 of the Basic school regulation for elementary and secondary education; results should be expressed in letter grades
- the teacher’s production of a subject mark in subjects with a detailed result, Read the content of the note 1 in accordance with section 30.1 of the Basic school regulation for preschool, elementary and secondary education
- the teacher’s production of a final mark for subjects that will continue to be taught the following year, in accordance with section 30.1 of the Basic school regulation for preschool, elementary and secondary education
- the group average, in accordance with section 30.1 of the Basic school regulation for elementary and secondary education
- the weighting for each term, as provided for under section 30.2 of the Basic school regulation elementary and secondary education
The results recorded in section 2 of the report card prescribed by the Basic school regulation must be expressed using the following rating scale:
| A | The student meets the requirements set for him/her very well. |
| B | The student meets the requirements set for him/her. |
| C | The student partially meets the requirements set for him/her. |
| D | The student does not meet the requirements set for him/her. |
In the case of subjects that will not be taught the following year, the final result on the end of year report card must be expressed using the following rating scale:
| A | The student meets the program requirements very well. |
| B | The student meets the program requirements. |
| C | The student partially meets the program requirements. |
| D | The student does not meet the program requirements. |
A pass mark in a given competency Read the content of the note 2 or subject with a single subject mark, Read the content of the note 3 in the final year in which it is taught, corresponds to a grade of A or B.
In both cases, the results are based on the frameworks for the evaluation of learning for the Work-Oriented Training Path established by the Minister for each program of study.
