Financial Planners
Job description
These individuals help their clients specify their financial goals related to budget management, investments, insurance, taxation, retirement, and succession. They analyze the various aspects of their clients’ financial situation. They assess investment risks and recommend savings solutions and strategies. They develop personalized action plans in line with their clients’ personal and professional objectives. They oversee the implementation of this action plan. They are self-employed or work for:

- Trust and investment companies
- Insurance companies

Main tasks
- Collect information about the personal, family, and professional aspects of clients’ lives in order to advise them properly.
- Propose tax-efficient withdrawal strategies.
- Optimize clients’ wealth by proposing various financial strategies.
- Negotiate the purchase and sale of financial products.
- Annually review financial plans of clients and make changes to these plans, as required.
- Solicit and recruit new clients.

Also required

Certificate from the Autorité des marchés financiers [Financial Markets Authority] to use the title of Financial Planner (F.Pl.).
