Customer Service Supervisors
Job description
These individuals coordinate the activities of the customer service representatives. They work in:
- Banks, trust companies, and credit unions
- Businesses
- Customer service centres
- Insurance and telephone companies
- Public utilities
- Travel services (incoming and outgoing agencies, wholesalers)
Environment
- Controlled ambient temperature
Main tasks
- Assign, verify, and evaluate the work of the clerks.
- Authorize regular deposits and withdrawals.
- Establish work schedules and procedures.
- Coordinate activities with other departments or divisions.
- Solve problems and write reports.
- Provide staff training.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems and equipment.
- Perform the same duties as supervised staff, as required.
