Job description

These individuals coordinate the activities of the customer service representatives. They work in:

  • Banks, trust companies, and credit unions
  • Businesses
  • Customer service centres
  • Insurance and telephone companies
  • Public utilities
  • Travel services (incoming and outgoing agencies, wholesalers)

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks

  • Assign, verify, and evaluate the work of the clerks.
  • Authorize regular deposits and withdrawals.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments or divisions.
  • Solve problems and write reports.
  • Provide staff training.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems and equipment.
  • Perform the same duties as supervised staff, as required.
