Job description

These individuals carry the luggage of customers and passengers to the designated place. They clean and maintain public and private areas. They work for:

  • Hotels
  • Passenger transport companies
  • Convention centres
  • Businesses

  • Uncontrolled ambient temperature

Main tasks

Customer Service Representative

  • Drive hotel guests to their rooms and carry their luggage.
  • Inspect rooms to make sure they are in order.
  • Inform guests about the room and the hotel (amenities, services, tourist attractions, etc.).
  • Assist guests with special needs.
  • Serve and inform groups upon arrival and departure.
  • Respond to customer complaints and requests.
  • Receive and send parcels and messages for customers.
  • Store baggage in designated areas.

Porter

  • Carry customers’ luggage to train stations and airports.
  • Organize road transport.

Ship Passenger Attendants

  • Serve food and beverages to passengers.
  • Clean cabins, make beds, and wash dishes.
  • Carry luggage on board ships.
  • Ensure customer comfort and satisfaction.

Railway Service Attendants

  • Prepare and serve tables in dining carts.
  • Serve food and beverages.
  • Clean sleeping cars and distribute toiletries.
  • Ensure customer comfort and satisfaction.

Installation Workers

  • Assemble, install, move, and disassemble removable panels and furniture in rooms.
  • Assemble, rotate, and disassemble presentations and posters according to floor plans or instructions.
  • Assist in the installation of audiovisual equipment and troubleshoot operating problems.
  • Make minor repairs, as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance on audiovisual equipment, as required.
